PWCRC Press Release: CHAIRMAN JACOB MOSSER ISSUES CALL FOR MARCH 2, 2024, REPUBLICAN CONVENTION FOR PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY

The biennial Convention Will Be Held at Osbourn Park High School on March 2nd to Select a New Republican County Chairman, As Well As Elect Delegates for the 7th Congressional District Convention, 10th Congressional District Convention and State Republican Convention.

On March 2nd the Prince William County Republican Committee will hold its biennial Convention starting at 10 AM at Osbourn Park High School, (8909 Euclid Avenue, Manassas Virginia) with registration beginning at 8:30 AM. The Convention will be composed of delegates from the 7 Republican magisterial districts in Prince William County. The delegates will vote for a new Prince William County Chairman to replace outgoing Republican Chairman Jacob Mosser. In addition, they will vote for Prince William delegates to attend the Republican Conventions for the 7th and 10th Congressional Districts, as well as the State convention.

“We have an exciting year ahead of us with the 2024 Presidential and Congressional Elections. If you would like to be part of electing conservative leaders who will represent you in Congress,  sign up to be a delegate and attend our convention on March 2nd”, said Chairman Mosser.

Interested registered voters of Prince William County can either register online at www.pwcgop.gop or download the Delegate form from the website to mail in the completed form. Filing to be a delegate must occur by 5 PM on February 21st. There is a $20 registration fee to help cover the costs of the convention.

A magisterial district delegation of this Convention is entitled to send five (5) Delegates for each Delegate vote, but no Delegate shall have less than one-fifth (1/5) of a vote. Total PWCRC Convention vote limit 283. Total PWCRC Convention Delegate limit 1,415 (283 X 5). The magisterial districts are Brentsville, Coles, Gainesville, Neabsco, Occoquan, Potomac, and Woodbridge.

Any qualified person who desires to seek election as Chairman of the Prince William County Republican Committee must submit a written statement to that effect, along with a nonrefundable filing fee of Five Hundred dollars ($500) to the Temporary Nominations Committee Chair, mail to: Attn: Nominations Chair, Prince William County Republican Committee, P.O. Box 1955, Manassas, VA 20108-0806, to be received by 5:00 PM, Wednesday, February 21, 2024.

All legal and qualified residents of Prince William County who are voters under the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, who are in accord with the principles of the Republican Party and who express in writing their intent to support all of its nominees for public office in the ensuing election, may participate in this convention. No participant can have acted in the nomination process of a party other than the Republican Party within the last five years.
