CANDIDATE FOR WOODBRIDGE SUPERVISOR, JEANNIE LACROIX’S GOALS FOR PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY

Smart Growth: Better Schools, Less Traffic

Woodbridge has been growing without a plan, and overcrowded schools and constant traffic jams are making life harder for everyone. I will fight for Smart Growth that fixes our roads and supports our schools before we add more large developments. Let’s protect our green spaces and keep our neighborhoods great places to live.

Keeping Our Families Safe

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own neighborhood. Right now, crime is a serious problem, but our police officers don’t have the support they need to stop it. I will fight to make sure our law enforcement has the right tools to do their jobs, and that criminals are taken off our streets.

Lowering Your Costs: Repeal the Meals Tax

Living in Woodbridge is getting too expensive. In 2022, the county added a “Meals Tax” that makes you pay more every time you grab a coffee or take the family out for dinner. This tax hurts our local “mom and pop” restaurants and takes money out of your pocket. I will vote to get rid of this tax. Let’s make eating out affordable again and help our small businesses thrive.

Fixing Our Neighborhoods

Our neighborhood roads and sidewalks are falling apart. We see broken signs, crumbling pavement, and overgrown weeds every day. While others focus on big, expensive projects, I will focus on getting the basics right by making sure our roads are paved, our sidewalks are safe, and our neighborhoods look beautiful.

Safe, Quality Schools for Our Kids

Our classrooms should be safe places for every student to learn, but violent crime and drug use have become real problems in our schools. I will fight for a “zero-tolerance” policy on drugs and violence to keep our kids safe. I will also work with the School Board to put the focus on core subjects like reading, writing, and math so that every student can graduate on time.
