Nexstar’s Cable News Network, NewsNation, Will Carry the Debate Nationwide

Norfolk, VA (Sept, 16, 2024) – Nexstar Media Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: NXST) today announced that its television stations serving Virginia will host an exclusive live multi-market telecast of a debate featuring the top candidates for U.S. Senator from Virginia, Democratic incumbent Senator Tim Kaine and Republican challenger Hung Cao. “YOUR LOCAL ELECTION HEADQUARTERS: VIRGINIA U.S. SENATE DEBATE” will take place on October 2, 2024, at 7:00 PM ET, at the L. Douglas Wilder Performing Arts Center on the campus of Norfolk State University. Nexstar’s cable news network, NewsNation, will simulcast the debate nationwide.

The debate will originate from WAVY-TV 10 in Portsmouth and air on television stations and digital platforms serving the Commonwealth, including WRIC-TV in Richmond, WFXR-TV in Roanoke, WDVM-TV in Hagerstown, MD, and WDCW-TV in Washington, D.C. The debate will be moderated by news anchors Tom Schaad of WAVY-TV 10 and Deanna Allbrittin of WRIC-TV.

This pivotal event will provide Virginia voters with a crucial opportunity to hear directly from both candidates as they discuss the key issues facing Virginia and the nation. As the race heats up, this debate will be a defining moment in the campaign.
