The Prince William County Republican Committee expresses its deep condolences to the family and friends of Charlie Kirk, assassinated for his belief in free speech and political discourse. We join all decent human beings, regardless of political affiliation, in condemning this sordid act so at odds with the values of our Republic.
The Committee also calls on those who stand in opposition to our beliefs and political positions to show restraint in their rhetoric. To recklessly call Republicans and conservatives ‘nazis,’ ‘fascists,’ and ‘Hitler,’ encourages violence and incites individuals to take these words literally, with deadly results.
