VERNDELL ROBINSON NAMED REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE FOR JANUARY 13 SPECIAL ELECTION FOR VIRGINIA’S 23rd DISTRICT

Prince William County real estate agent and Navy veteran Verndell Robinson has been named the Republican candidate for the January 13th election for the open seat in the 23rd District in the State of Virginia’s House of Representatives. Discussions between Republican leaders in the 23rd district, and potential candidates for the nomination, resulted in all concerned agreeing that Verndell Robinson was the best choice, based on her background and her having previously run for office. The short time period before the special election made it imperative to find a candidate quickly.

Verndell Robinson holds a law degree from Hangdong University in South Korea. She previously ran for Prince William County Supervisor in 2023. In her previous campaign she criticized “irresponsible” data center development, and was in favor of encouraging affordable housing, including reducing real estate taxes. She also proposed policies to address our mental health crisis, and support families. Robinson is the mother of four children.
