Dear Republican Members and Friends,
Last night was a difficult one for Republicans across the Commonwealth and in many states across the country. The results were hard to watch, and I know how many of you feel that punch in the gut. We worked, we hoped, we prayed, and still came up short.
Thank you to every volunteer, donor, and supporter who showed up, knocked doors, made calls, wrote checks, prayed for our candidates, and never gave up.
To our candidates: you stepped into the ring when others wouldn’t. You fought in a brutal political year, carried our conservative message across Prince William County, and made us proud.
Now, I’d like to share with you a few thoughts that I hope will encourage you for the fights ahead.
First, Virginia and Prince William County are not lost. We can and will win hearts and minds, share our values, and carry future candidates to victory.
Our principles have not changed, our values have not wavered, and our resolve has not weakened. The incredible work and spirit of our volunteers yesterday is proof of that.
Second, our Committee is better prepared than ever for the fights ahead thanks to the best fundraising year in our Committee’s history.
Thanks to the generous giving of our membership, friends and supporters, including over $70,000 grossed from our 2025 Lincoln-Reagan Dinner alone, we were able to:
1. Give more than $25,000 to directly support our local Republican candidates, the largest direct investment our committee has ever made.
2. Launch our first professional video ad campaign to drive Republican turnout.
3. Pre-pay next year’s Lincoln-Reagan Dinner while keeping record cash on hand for future battles.
We are walking away from this fight standing upright, with the tools to rebuild and strike back.
And we still have strong Republican leaders holding the line — Sheriff Glen Hill, Supervisors Tom Gordy and Yesli Vega, and School Board Members Erica Tredinnick and Jen Wall. Our values still have a voice, and they’re counting on us to keep that voice loud.
So, here’s where things stand: We took losses. But we’re not defeated. The Democrats will overreach, they always do, and when they do, we’ll be ready. Ready with better organization, better outreach, and a message that speaks straight to working families across this County.
Take a breath, lift your head, and get ready!
With resolve and gratitude,
Jacob Alderman
Chairman, Prince William/Manassas Park Republican Committee
