PWC REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE CHAIRMAN DEMANDS WITHDRAWAL OF DEMOCRATIC NOMINEE FOR WOODBRIDGE COUNTY SUPERVISOR SEAT OVER RACIST, MISOGYNIST POSTS

Prince William County Republican Committee Chairman Jacob Alderman today called on the Prince William County Democrats to immediately and unequivocally withdraw party recognition and support from their nominee for Woodbridge District Supervisor, Muhammed “Sef” Casim, after social media posts resurfaced from Casim revealing a disturbing pattern of racist, misogynistic, antisemitic, anti-Christian, and anti-American views.

The social media posts and reposts show Casim repeatedly using racist and misogynistic slurs including the n-word, spreading antisemitic rhetoric and comparing Israel to Nazi Germany, endorsing the persecution of Christians, and accusing the United States of funding “genocide” abroad. Posts and include “never call a tiger ‘tigga’. Only tigers can call themselves ‘tigga’”, “This girl’s fav match going on, No dangerous Hindu male”; “the person below is a dirty slut.” “this n***a landed a sweet job”, and “the person below is a dirty slut,” among numerous other examples. The volume and nature of these posts paint a clear picture of an individual who has trafficked in hatred and division.

“Prince William County Democrats have nominated a racist and antisemitic extremist,” said Chairman Jacob Alderman. “The content that has resurfaced is vile, indefensible, and completely disqualifying for anyone seeking to represent our culturally diverse community.”

Alderman expressed that voters in the Woodbridge District deserve accountability, and called on the Prince William County Democratic Committee to clarify whether they plan to continue supporting Casim’s candidacy.

“Woodbridge is a vibrant mix of cultures, faiths, and backgrounds, and our residents deserve leaders who unite rather than divide,” said Prince William County Republican Committee Chairman Jacob Alderman. “The resurfaced content from Casim is indefensible, hateful, and utterly disqualifying for anyone seeking to represent this community. Silence from Democratic leaders in the face of such racism, antisemitism, misogyny, and anti-American extremism is complicity.  The Democrats owe this community an explanation, a full-throated denunciation, and their complete withdrawal of support for his candidacy.”

The election for Woodbridge Supervisor is already underway, with Election Day set for March 10. Voters can find more information at pwcvotes.org.

Republican nominee Jeannie LaCroix offers a record of service, integrity, and a commitment to uniting the Woodbridge community. A longtime resident, community leader, and business owner, LaCroix has consistently championed family, safer streets, better schools, and economic opportunity for all, and rejects the division, racism, and extremism embodied by her opponent.
