The Prince William County Republican Party congratulates Republican State Senator Mark Peake on becoming the new Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia

The Prince William County Republican Party congratulates Republican State Senator Mark Peake on becoming the new Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia. He will replace Rich Anderson who has been nominated by President Trump to be Assistant Secretary of the United States Air Force.

This past Saturday, the Republican Party of Virginia (RPV) State Central Committee, the governing body of the GOP in the state, elected State Senator Mark Peake of Lynchburg as the new Chairman. Senator Peake will serve out the term as party leader until the Spring of 2028 (the remainder of a four-year term). The Senator was endorsed by the top three state Republicans (Governor Youngkin, Lt. Governor Winsome Sears and Attorney General Jason Miyares) along with a host of current VA Delegates and State Senators.

Senator Mark Peake grew up in Roanoke and graduated from Virginia Tech and Washington and Lee Law School. He was elected to the Virginia Senate in January 2017. In addition to being Chairman, Senator Peake will retain his legislative position where he currently serves on the Courts of Justice, Commerce & Labor, Education & Health, and Rules Senate Committees.

Our Committee also thanks Rich Anderson for his service as Chairman of the Republican Party of Virginia. He was an outstanding party Chairman. Based on his 30 years’ service in the U.S. Air Force we are sure he will also be an excellent Assistant Secretary of the Air Force.
